The Krank Formula FIRE PRO TOUR is the “playable speed” driver in the Formula FIRE TOUR range. It is designed for golfers who want a driver that feels fast and powerful, but still delivers repeatable launch, controllable spin, and a shot pattern you can aim. If you are building a Krank driver for real golf, not just range hero shots, the PRO TOUR is the smart place to start.

The PRO TOUR is positioned as a pro golf conforming driver head, making it the safest choice in the Formula FIRE family for golfers who play club competitions.

Driver Setup Includes: Krank Golf Formula FIRE PRO TOUR Head (Right Hand), Your Chosen Shaft, Premium Krank Golf Headcover, Tri-Sleeve Adapter, JumboMax Grip, and a Krank Golf Torque Wrench.

What the PRO TOUR is built to do

  • Maximise ball speed with a forged face design that stays lively across a realistic strike pattern.
  • Keep launch and spin in a playable window so your distance does not come with chaos.
  • Tighten dispersion by pairing head stability with the correct shaft and build spec.

Key features

Forged beta titanium cupped-face design

The Formula FIRE platform is built around face engineering and energy transfer. The PRO TOUR uses a forged beta titanium face with a cupped-face style construction intended to support strong ball speed while keeping the feel solid across the face.

Bulge and roll for predictable misses

Off-centre hits happen. Bulge and roll is the face curvature that helps heel and toe strikes start on a more helpful line and curve back more predictably through gear effect. This is one of the biggest reasons modern drivers are playable when contact is not perfect.

Adjustable hosel: fine-tune loft +2° or -1°

The PRO TOUR driver features an adjustable hosel that allows you to adjust loft by up to +2° or down to -1°. This is not a gimmick. It is a fitting tool that helps dial in launch, spin, and start line without guessing.

Note: Competition rules can vary. If you play events with strict equipment checks, verify your exact model and loft on the Conforming Driver Head List.

Why the full build matters (not just the head)

A driver is a system. The head gets all the attention, but the shaft, length, swing weight, and grip determine whether you can deliver the head consistently. Most “distance gains” come from improving strike and optimising your launch window, and that comes from a correct build.

Shaft options: how to choose the right one

There is no single “best shaft”. The right shaft is the one that helps you deliver the face consistently, find the centre more often, and control start direction and curvature. In fitting we usually group shafts by what they help you do.

1) Low launch, low spin shafts (for high speed or high spin players)

If you generate a lot of spin, or you launch too high, a stiffer tip, lower launch profile can help keep the ball flight penetrating and prevent ballooning. These shafts can also help players who miss left by slowing face closure timing.

  • Best for: faster speeds, high spin players, high launch players
  • Typical result: flatter flight, more controlled spin, tighter left miss

2) Mid launch, mid spin shafts (the most common “fit” category)

Most golfers live here. A mid profile shaft often provides the best balance of feel and stability. The goal is a build you can swing freely without feeling like you have to “hold it off” or “save it”.

  • Best for: most golfers who want a stable, neutral flight
  • Typical result: consistent launch, consistent dispersion, reliable carry

3) Higher launch shafts (for golfers who need help keeping it in the air)

If your drives fall out of the sky, or you struggle to carry the ball, you may need a build that helps you launch higher without adding uncontrolled spin. Often the answer is a combination of more loft plus a shaft that gives you a little more launch.

  • Best for: moderate swing speeds, low launch players, golfers who need more carry
  • Typical result: higher peak height, more carry, improved landing angle

4) Heavier vs lighter shafts (tempo and strike control)

Weight matters more than many golfers realise. A slightly heavier shaft can improve control for stronger players with quick tempo. A lighter shaft can help some golfers increase speed and maintain rhythm. The correct weight often improves strike location, which is one of the fastest ways to increase ball speed.

  • Heavier shafts: often suit aggressive tempo and stronger players
  • Lighter shafts: often suit smoother tempo and players seeking more speed

5) Shaft flex is not the answer by itself

“Stiff” and “regular” are labels, not measurements. Two stiff shafts can feel completely different. In fitting we focus on how the shaft influences your delivery, not the letter on the label.

Build variables we dial in during a fitting

  • Loft and sleeve setting: to hit your best launch and spin window
  • Length: shorter often equals more centre strikes and tighter dispersion
  • Swing weight: controls feel and timing
  • Grip size: including JumboMax if you use oversized grips
  • Face contact: we prioritise strike pattern over single best shots

Who should choose the PRO TOUR?

  • Golfers who want more distance but still want a driver that stays in play.
  • Players who compete and want a conforming-focused option.
  • Golfers who want to build a driver properly with the correct shaft, length, and settings.
